1. Who we are
Merchantsage ("we", "us", "our") is a merchandising and inventory intelligence platform for Shopify and WooCommerce merchants. Our contact email is hello@merchantsage.com.
2. What data we collect
When you connect your store, we collect: store name, domain, and platform (Shopify or WooCommerce); product data including titles, prices, inventory levels, and sales velocity; order data for sell-through and velocity calculations; your email address for account and digest communications. We do not collect payment card details — billing is handled entirely by Stripe.
3. How we use your data
We use your store data solely to provide the Merchantsage service — to rank your collections, generate reorder suggestions, and send your weekly digest. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your store data to train AI models.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Merchantsage: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (subscription billing), Anthropic (AI reasoning engine), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting). Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
5. Data retention
We retain your store data for 30 days after your account is cancelled or your subscription ends. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing hello@merchantsage.com.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@merchantsage.com. If you are based in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of Merchantsage after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
